The Hon. Willard Estey 1979, 261 pages

Documenting the life and career of Willard Z. Estey (1919-2002), a lawyer originally from Saskatchewan who, after moving to Ontario to practice law, was appointed to the Ontario Court of Appeal (1973), later becoming Chief Justice of Ontario (1976), and he was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada in 1977 (until 1988). Interview topics include: genealogical history; the University of Saskatchewan; Harvard Law School; Select professors at Harvard; beginning his practice; legal aid; his appointment to the Supreme Court of Canada; select Supreme Court Justices; comparisons between different levels of the judiciary. Interview conducted by Jeremy Egner. File includes seven audio cassette recordings from a series of six interviews a transcript with index (261 p.).
