Membership

If you are interested in, and want to support, the development of Canadian legal history, consider becoming a member of the Osgoode Society. For the cost of membership (ordinary member $45, students $20), you will receive our annual member's book at no additional charge. In 2009 the members' book is the very interesting story of one of Canada's most famous judges, Canadian Maverick: The Life of Ivan C. Rand, by Toronto lawyer and award winning author William Kaplan.

The other benefits of membership include:
  1. The right to attend the annual meeting with full voting rights
  2. An invitation to all Society book launches and receptions
  3. A financial contribution to legal historical scholarship
  4. Support for and information about our acclaimed oral history programme
  5. For sustaining members, names printed in our annual report unless the Society is informed that this is not desired. Sustaining members receive a tax receipt.
